The candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Prince Abubakar Audu
has won the November 21, 2015 Gubernatorial election in Kogi State.
The former Governor who was sent packing from the Lugard House by the
Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) about 13 years ago polled 240, 867 against
the PDP candidate Ibrahim Wada's 199, 514 to emerge winner.
Prince Audu therefore, has 41, 353 more votes than his closest rival.
The results show that APC won 16 out of the 21 Local Government Areas with
PDP winning the other 5.
Local Government Areas won by the APC are; Ijumu, Adavi, Koton Karfe,
Ibaji, Ajaokuta, Okehi, Yagba East, Yagba West, Idah and Kabba Bunu.
Others are; Ofu, Ankpa, Olamaboro, Igalamela/ Odolu, Bassa and Lokoja
Local Government Areas.
On the other hand, PDP were only able to win Dekina, Mopa-moro, Okene,
Ogori Mangogo and Omala Local Government Areas.
